David's
Story

David Robert LeBoeuf
David was born on June 16th, 2003 in Worcester, Massachusetts. His parents had gone to the Father's Day game at Fenway Park in Boston to watch the Red Sox play the Astros, but during batting practice David broke his mothers water (he wanted to see the game I suppose), and ever since that day David has had a special connection with the game of baseball.
Since he was young he was naturally gifted on the field, but he always backed that gift with heart and hustle. He knew that you can't control every outcome of every situation, but you could always control your hustle and level of effort you gave each situation.
Throughout his life he had many great opportunities that he would've never had without the game being part of his life. On his 10th Birthday he was back at Fenway Park, and was on the field being announced before the game. When David Ortiz had his 500 homerun celebration, David was on the filed with his brother and sister helping to form the second zero in centerfield. He had the opportunity to hit in the visitor's batting cage in Fenway, and has also met and played ball with many current and former Major League/Hall of Fame guys including Bill Lee, Luis Tiant, George Foster, Bucky Dent, Tim Wakefield, Jim Longborg, Jackie Bradley Jr., Daniel Nava, Ryan O'Rourke, amongst others.
David played for many teams throughout his life, but spent most of his time playing for Webster Little League, the Double Play Invaders of Leicester, Ma. (The current Jr. WooSox), and Energy Baseball out of Worcester, Ma. He loved the game and showed it every time he took a field, stepped in a cage, walked into a ballpark, or just while having conversations about the game, you could feel and see the passion he had for it.
Sadly, David was taken from us at the young age of 20, on May 4th, 2024. There was an altercation that took place at the town common in Northbridge, Ma. in which David's little brother was stabbed 4 times. Seeing this, David attempted to intervein, and was stabbed once, in the heart, and was pronounced dead at the hospital a few hours later.
In David's memory DL24GEAR was formed, and aims to serve top quality products to our customers, and in turn allow David to provide for his daughter, who he found out he was expecting in early April, just weeks before his passing. He was very excited about becoming a father. He was a hard worker, self sufficient, and he would've taken care of her to the best of his abilities. DL24GEAR aims to make that happen, on his behalf, through his passion, the work he had already put in, and the inspiration he continues to provide us all.
